Bastille – “Bad Blood”

Imagine some kind of Coldplay, Bloc Party and Hurts love child and you may come close to synthetic rock group “Bastille”.

After starting off on his own, front man Dan Smith has grabbed some friends, named themselves “Bastille” and are set to take the music world by storm this year with numerous festival dates, tour dates and their debut album “Bad Blood”.

Smith’s (and no it’s not Miami Ink/The Dear &Departed’s Dan Smith) simple yet powerful lyrics in songs such as “Flaws” – ‘There’s a hole in my soul, can you fill it, can you fill it?’ – well mirror the style of music that has made sure that Bastille are not a band that are going to go unnoticed.
